Preschool!!!

Image
Yes little Malachi's in preschool! Here's his first official day at school. He really loves his class and his teacher, Mrs. Elliott. He also has two sweet little girls that he says he plays with every day, Kenna and Brooklyn...but I think they pick on him and he ends up playing by himself or being a bit obnoxious and taking toys away from other kids. Hopefully he'll learn soon to not do that! This is before class him, Kenna, Brooklynn and another sweet girl I haven't learned her name yet.

The Garden...beginning to end

Image
Yep...it's freezing time...and my garden...well what's left is going away for this season so I decided I better post some photos of it's amazing growth this year! Here's the beginning... also had some lettuce but in June and July the hail we had destroyed it...so Malachi planted corn! And here's a small harvest of carrots...still have a ton frozen. And now you can see my gigantic three tomato plants!!! Yep they towered over the fence the day I took them down! We also had strawberry plants but we'll get more next year. Under the tomato's was hidding a sad cucumber plant...Malachi stepped on when I planted it so it became his cucumber...and you'll see what we got from it..ha! Here are hot cherry peppers and Poblano's And here's my pride heirloom tomato's that are eventually two toned and delicious. Here's the lowly cucumber that we got from our sad plant. Still tasted great! Here's our first bit of raspberries...yes we ate ...

Contentment

So...I begin this by saying I have not come to complete perfection in being content...at ALL! Yet Aaron and I were talking about stuff as we did some more painting of the trim and replacing doors yesterday and the subject of true contentment came up. The main reason was when Aaron told our story about the Lord moving us from Michigan to Colorado he's very clear that we'd absolutely come to the point while living in Michigan of contentment with where we were. No, we did not want to stay in Michigan but we were at peace and not pursuing anything else when the Lord shocked us with this move.  So, I wanted to reflect on the meaning of contentment and what a great reminder for me to seek that in all things.    "To be sufficient, to be possessed of sufficient strength, to be strong, to be enough for a thing, to be satisfied, contended with....to be sufficient in oneself...satisfaction with what one has."(Vines Dictionary) Am I content? Am I satisfied with all that the Lord ...

My eyes are open more today!

I am sorry that it's been so very long since I've been on here...it's a busy life with two munchkins...I will post many new pictures and stories soon. But for today I will share a bit from my heart. When Aaron and I felt like trying for kids we both knew it was an incredible blessing to have a child and raise these eternal beings in the Lord. One of the hardest parts for us in the beginning was coming up with their names. We both sought names that had a specific meaning and not to Old Testament that no one today could pronounce it!!! At first our son was going to be Hezekiah...we loved the story and meaning but halfway through the pregnancy Aaron didn't feel right about it and changed it to Malachi...which means "Messenger of God". From then on I prayed for Malachi to fulfill that name. Whatever that may look like/preacher/teacher/evangelising in school/prophecy...whatever the Lord would use him in I prayed for. As a mom we pay close attention to our kidd...

Slumber party

Avery Joy got to stay the night over here last week while her mom and dad had a hot date in Denver. It was a blast. The kids were so sweet and fun and good...I thought that something was wrong...ha! So before bed we had a dance party....enjoy!

Malachi's alone time with daddy

By the title of this one you'd think it was some cute time alone for the two men of the house, but it's playing in the closet...just being cute!!!
