A sled, A hill...and bitter cold wind

And away we go...in the car, bundled up and ready to hit the hills at Epic where...mom(me) went ice block sleding in college. It was insanly busy and unbelievably cold...but to our surprise Malachi ended up being the star...and taking the round sled and going down the big hill all alone!!!




Sweet Shanole, AJ and Sydney joined us and then were freezing so they left quickly!











We tried to find a hill with less wind but it was too fluffy snow for Aaron so his pants were soaked!!









And Avery...ha..we love you endlessly...you just aren't ready for wind or snow!And Rachel, aka miss independent, began walking up the hill alone and making snowballs to carry!Finally my sis just grabbed Avery and took her down...and it seemed she actually liked it!

Yes very cold, we will have to try that again soon though. Chris and I have a really awesome hill by our house that's huge. You guys will have to check it out with us!

Wheewww! What a CHRISTmas we have had. I know many of you all know about our surpise gift of delivering Caleb almost 9 weeks early on Dec. 22. But I also know that there are many details we just have been too overwhelmed with this to share. So here goes. This journey has been amazing. It is as if the Lord just said "I want to show you more of me. More of why so many things and people are in your lives. Remember...I am the one writing this story and I have always had something greater than you know planned." No kidding! J.A.M. you got to got to JAM!

This season is full. Full of sad times, busy times and some great memories made. One thing I truly enjoy is to cook. It is in my blood. My Mawmaw is an amazing cook who then taught my mom who inspired me to cook. All three of us...well I should say four because my sister is amazing too....cook different in many ways but the same in others. It is just the joy of creating. For me I find so much joy in finding new tastes and beautiful dishes. I also find joy in old fashioned cookin. This one all started when we had moved to Indianapolis. It was the first time ever I didn't have a job. I was 7 months pregnant in a new town/state and didn't know anyone. As many of you know I rarely can sit still. I need to be productive.....and this came to mind. Why not create delicious jellies and jams.. Not only is it super cost effective.
